Location & Positioning

     Krasnoyarsk: 15-30-40 minutes away from the center (by car or public transport) towards west. Typical Russian city residential, ecologically clean area with forest and cross-country ski tracks nearby. The place is located just next to the end bus stop, which makes it easy getting to the city and returning back. The public transport is very efficient, as it is in general around Russian cities. 

     The unit is nestled on 10th of a 10-floor apartment block, elevator equipped. We get the best views of the area around, see photos.

Description

     The apartment is big, nice and recently renovated. Provided in the guest room: double sofa bed, chair, flat screen TV.  The room for guests may comfortably accommodate 1-2-3 people. 

     Available in the apartment 24 hours: telephone, hair dryer, washing machine, Wi Fi internet (free of charge).

     Always available for free in the kitchen: tea, coffee, sugar, cookies/biscuits, kettle, refrigerator, pots and pans, drinking filtered water.

Special features and services

• Breakfast! This is bed & breakfast! Oksana is a very good cook and she loves it. People that had a chance to try her meal often bring good memories about her “best breakfasts in Russia”. The special treat from Oksana is the home-baked bread. We never buy bread in supermarkets as we bake it home.

• Filtered water! We use filtered water to drink and cook (see picture). It is very good and efficient.

• Hot shower! We always have a very good, high pressure hot shower! In summer season in Russian cities hot water is often off for few days due to seasonable maintance works. We have an electric boiler that completely solves this issue and our guests never face up with this challenge while staying with us.

• Visa registration can be provided for extra charge once staying longer than 7 nights, excluding weekends and holidays.

• This is a budget accommodation! We don’t compete with the hotels, as the main goal of this project is to allow our guests to get some insight of local life in Siberia “as is”. While offering this type of accommodation, on the other hand, we know that for such travelers we offer the best accommodation option in terms of price, quality and conditions.

• English-speaking environment! We speak English and enjoy meeting people and communicating with our guests. You will be supported with all your needs while you are here. Ask about the best places and best timing to go the places of your interest and use our local knowledge.

• Guided trips around Krasnoyarsk! While staying here you can join Anatoliy's booked tours, decrease the cost of tour for you, meet other fellow-travelers and have more fun while touring around.

About us

     This place is the home for this website owner Anatoliy Bryuhanov, where he lives with his wife Oksana and sons Maxim (19 years old in 2016) and Stepan (3 years old in 2016) .

    We have been acting as a host family with foreign travellers in Krasnoyarsk since 1996. Maxim has almost flown out of the family nest and nowadays is a student at a university in a different city. Mostly there are only three family members at a time. 

     Anatoliy works in Krasnoyarsk and the area around as a hostel runner, private tour guide and runs this as the family business. You can book Anatoliy’s tours and get the best knowledge about the place that you are traveling through. Check out our tours and excursions section.                

     Perhaps there is a chance to get merged with other travellers who book Anatoliy' excursions and tours around the area. Please do mean that. Anatoliy's guests might be staying in the city's hotels and at his SibTourGuide Hostel in the city center.

     During the winter months (low tourist season in Siberia) Anatoliy is involved into some teaching at a university in Krasnoyarsk. His focus and subject are related with social sciences (political science, geopolitics etc. ;)  

     Oksana also teaches at a local university. Her subject is mathematics. 

     The kids study English and they will appreciate having English-speaking environment (especially their parents ;). Please, talk! 

     Over the years we have shared our home with number of people and happy to realize that we learnt how to do it best!

Booking

     Book this accommodation online! This is easy and highly appreciated. Unfortunately we are not always available for short notice bookers who just arrive to Krasnoyarsk and ask for homestay accommodation. At the moment we may have somebody staying with us or have our family plans set. But feel free to contact us anyway, as we may propose you another great and budget alternative! Sometimes it works! ;)
