Trip to the Krasnoyarsk dam (Hydroelectric Power Station)

This car trip might be counted as part of the 10-rouble tour which lasts 3-4 hours. We drive outside of the city straight to the Krasnoyarsk dam. On the way to the dam we make stops by the look out “Tsar-Ryba” (Fish-King) to enjoy the spectacular view of Yenisey river. The second highlight of the tour is Ovsyanka village. This is home to famous Russian writer Victor Astafiev. He became famous for his books that he wrote about Siberian people and their life in early 20th century. "The Last Bow” memorial in Ovsyanka is the reconstruction of the so named book, where Astafiev describes his own years that he spent as a kid in his grandmother’s house. This is a great opportunity to meet with Siberian rural household and learn more about tough peasant’s life. The tour is run year round.
