Tunguska explosion site

Something exploded over Podkamennaya (Stony) Tunguska river near Vanavara settlement in 1908. This is still unclear whether it was a meteorite, asteroid, comet, natural gas blast, Nicola Tesla’s experiments or … UFO crash. But the explosion destroyed huge part of Taiga forest and caused earthquake. The seismic wave run around the Earth few times and was detected by all seismic stations on the planet in those days.  Krasnoyarsk and other towns in Siberia had no dark nights for few days after the explosion happened. Scientists still have no solid explanation about what happened and the area keeps attracting wondering people. The trip to Tunguska area is not an easy adventure. Vanavara is located in very remote corner of Krasnoyarsk region and is connected with the main land by air only. The tour will require many days, serious preparations and much of resources involved. We would be happy to help you to arrange this trip for you.
