     Go get to learn what a genuine Russian Dacha is like! You see many of them around while traveling in Russia and here is the chance to get some insight of this concept.

    

     We invite you to visit our dacha, which is located 40 km away from Krasnoyarsk (40 minutes to drive by car). This is in the forest towards west of the city. Come to get fresh air, hear birds, watch chipmunks, and walk to the woods around. See what kind of vegetables and berries people grow in their gardens. Meet the sun during sunrises and enjoy sunsets. Try fresh raspberry and strawberry in July and August. In August come to collect mushrooms from the area around and learn which ones of them people can cook and eat. Make your shashlyk and just enjoy your life watching the fire. Enjoy salad made from fresh vegetables just from the garden. Bring your beer, wine or vodka and have your relaxing or fun party. Talk with your hosts about anything: life in Russia, Russian history, Soviet past, beauty of your home-country, global warming, future of this world etc.  

    

     In winter go skiing, survive and have fun in the deep (up to 2 meters high) snow.  

    

     This offer is ideal and comfortable for 2-3 people. Dacha experience means countryside/camping type of rest but with featured comfort which can be achieved in these conditions.

 

Conditions/facilities:

 

  • Cozy and warm cabin

  • Brick wood-burn stove (Russian fireplace), firewood for cold months;

  • Outhouse (toilet is outside);

  • Electricity (most of time since May until November);

  • No power from November until May;

  • Lamp, candles when there is no power;

  • Natural gas stove (when there is no power);

  • Electric boiler and hot water (when there is power);

  • Electric heating panels (when there is power);

  • Drinking water is delivered from the city or from a fresh water spring in the area;

  • Pots and pans;

  • Bed linens;

  • Pillows, mattresses;

  • Wooden deck to sleep, comfortable enough for three people;

  • Extra folding bed, if necessary;

Due to ticks alert the dacha is open for visitors since July until beginning of May

Transportation: car


You can spend time with your host who will prepare simple food and will look after you. If you prefer this option with the host, meal will be included then.
The host will stay overnight with you in the house.
 
If you wish just to rent it and enjoy your time yourselves you will be transported and picked up at determined time. In this case meal will not be included.

Transportation: car + ski


In winter the dacha is not accessible to reach by car. We drive, as much as deep snow in the area allows, and then ski for 20-40 minutes to get there.

This option requires the dacha’s host escorting you during the whole stay. The host will stay overnight with you in the house.
This experience really may be counted as “survival in Siberian winter forest”. But on the other hand this adventure will be under watch of your experienced
host that will solve all the “survival issues”. You will learn how much forces and resources Siberian rural people put in order to survive in winter.

 This is just an educational visit to get the brief idea what are dachas like and see how it works.

Duration: 4 hours

Included: transportation by car and picnic/lunch at the dacha.
